Lisa Jiang - Moments in Motion

Moments in Motion was an immersive exhibition I curated at The Combine with artist and designer Lisa Jiang, centering fluid painting and kinetic wearable sculpture. Rather than a static gallery show, the project was structured so that movement, gesture, and performance were inherent to the work itself—blurring the line between fashion, dance, and visual art.

The exhibition activated space through motion: pieces evolved with the body, with light, and with audience presence, creating a dynamic, experiential environment. My curatorial focus was on choreography of space and time—shaping how the work lived within the room and how people moved through it.

By prioritizing experience over fixed interpretation, Moments in Motion became less an object to observe and more a setting to embody—a place where migration, expression, and transformation could be felt as much as seen.
